REopening our Workshop

Welcome back to the Diamonds Hatton Garden blog where we bring you the latest from our Hatton Garden jewellers. Spring is in the air and it seems that we are on course to move out of lockdown. Ahead of our reopening, we go behind the scenes and open the doors to our London jewellery workshop as we start planning for client visits once more.

The Experience

Whether it is loose fancy pink diamonds, a beautiful diamond tennis bracelet or a fully bespoke diamond jewellery set, we offer the same warm welcome to all of our clients. We have assisted generations of clients from across the world to find their perfect item of jewellery. We believe in offering a personal service that guides you through each step of the exciting journey of buying jewellery. From choosing the loose diamonds to the beautiful mounts and metals, we take pride in offering our advice and guidance to ensure that your special piece of jewellery reflects your tastes, personality and style.

Design

At the heart of our service is the designs and creation of our pieces of jewellery. Using the latest state of the art technology mixed with traditional, hand-drawn sketches our teams of craftspeople help to create a truly special item for each client. To begin, we understand your tastes and ideas and start to map out concepts looking at diamond shapes and sizes, the precious metals and the finishes that enhance and add a special touch. From there, we will create a fully 3D rendered design using CAD software that brings the piece to life. A ed printed mock up is printed that is turned into a mould before the piece is cast by our team. Once filed and polished, each diamond is handset into the mount to create the spectacular work.

Jewellers Benches

If you haven’t seen a jewellery workshop before, you are in for a treat when you visit us. A jeweller’s bench is the workstation where the jeweller will handset and work on items and is where the magic happens. Jeweler’s workbenches traditionally sit higher than regular workbenches and house the tools used to craft our pieces. Tradition, skull and expertise can be found in each dedicated movement, each small adjustment and each delicate touch. Something to behold, the creation of handmade diamond jewellery is an artform and one we look forward to sharing with you.
